The IMMpress Magazine team is once again delighting us with another stimulating and mind-blowing issue. This time around IMMpress Magazine turns its attention to Neuroimmunology, and as usual there is a wonderful set of feature articles about this emerging area of research in our field. Together with the now expected high level of sophisticated design, insightful editorials and perspectives, the IMMpress editorial team keeps raising the bar. As IMMpress turns two-years old, I remain extremely pleased with their sustained vision and dedication, and I am thankful to the editorial team for their extraordinary efforts.
As mentioned in previous issues of IMMpress, this year the Department of Immunology is celebrating its 30th Anniversary. We recently commemorated this occasion with a wonderful symposium event and dinner. The 30th Anniversary Symposium featured outstanding and inspiring talks by Immunology alumni from the Barber and Wu labs, in honour of their retirement and to pay tribute to their important contributions to the creation and early years of the Department of Immunology. It was a great event, and I was delighted to welcome back a large number of our Immunology alumni.
I hope you enjoy this issue, and the upcoming ones, and importantly whether you are an alumnus of the department, or a prospective student, I really look forward to hearing from you.
